DESIGN AND EXPERIMENTS FOR SHOVEL-FINGER AND CYLINDER PEANUT-PICKING DEVICE

Two-stage harvesting is the main method for performing mechanized of peanuts, and picking device a core part combined harvester in China. In order to solve problem pod loss caused by "stacking", "impact" "throwing up" peanut plants traditional cam-slide spring-finger cylinder device, shovel-finger peanut-picking was developed used picking-up performance test based on study peanut-plant strip-picking characteristics. The mathematical model mechanism established analyzing structure characteristics, parameters were optimized using objective function method. prototype tested. experiments which collect indicated that phenomenon being stacked thrown disappeared. Through response surface analysis test, optimal working obtained: forward speed V 48.0 m/minute, rotational N 45.3 r/minute ground height H -18 mm. rate 98.9% fruit 2.8% under two different conditions moisture content 15~17%.
